CONTENTSQUARE - SCALING DESIGN
How do design foundations scale as fast as the business?

Some places pull you back for a reason
I first walked into Contentsquare when they were 30 people. I came back 6 years later, there were 800. By the time I left, 1600. When a company grows that fast, design doesn't scale with it. Every region operated differently. Every campaign started from scratch. The design team was spending most of its time on execution, with little room to step back and build something more sustainable. That's where I came in.
Three years. One vision.
I joined as Lead Designer for the EMEA region, managing a team of three, across France, the UK and Germany. My focus was on building the structures the team could rely on. My role went beyond execution, what I cared most about was building the structures that would make the next ten assets happen without me.

What we built together
Over three years, here's few examples what the team and I built together:

Research, creation and constant iteration
On a day-to-day basis, we constantly reviewed Contentsquare's tools to ensure they were as effective and user-friendly as possible for our clients. To discovery to delivery, I was in charge to create intuitive and accessible interfaces, campaign and assets on high quality and make sure about the excellence and coherence.

A consistent and accessible design system
A design system and a full component library, used daily by designers across 5 regions, with key elements integrated by engineering teams. The goal was simple: give everyone the same foundation so no one had to start from scratch with accessibility at the heart of the Contentsquare product.

Streamlining creative processes with design angels
A self-service template programme, co-initiated with our Design Ops team and built on Figma's collaborative infrastructure. I ran the first experimentation on a live project, then progressively trained EMEA teams through workshops and documentation. What started as a small pilot grew into something much bigger: 120 contributors across HR, sales, PR and marketing, creating production-ready assets with increasing autonomy.

Contentsquare was an incredible journey!
It's difficult to summarise all the fantastic projects I've worked on with all the teams (marketing, product, development, impact, etc.) on a single page of my portfolio, but please do get in touch: I'd be delighted to chat with you about these three incredible years of innovation and creativity!
If you’d like to hear more about full processes and the full story, I’d be happy to walk you through it.
